ICC Rankings Update: Virat Kohli Retains 6th Spot In T20I Rankings; Chris Woakes Achieves Career-Best Ranking In ODIs

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has retained his sixth spot in the ICC T20I rankings for batsman while KL Rahul has gained one point to be at the sixth spot.
Rahul, who has 743 ranking points, and Aussie swashbuckler Glenn Maxwell have climbed one spot each to claim 6th and 7th spot respectively.
England’s Dawid Malan has regained his top spot and he is followed by Aaron Finch, Devon Conway, Babar Azam, and Virat Kohli.
While Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are the only Indian batters in the top-10 list for batsmen, there are no Indians in the top-10 list of bowlers or all-rounders.
As far as ODI rankings are concerned, Babar Azam leads the pack followed by the legendary duo of Kohli and Rohit SharmaPacer Jasprit Bumrah- the only Indian bowler in the top-10 ODI rankings- has dropped to the 6th spot while Ravindra Jadeja remains at 9th in the all-rounder’s rankings.
England’s Chris Woakes has moved to his career-best 3rd spot in the ODI rankings following a stellar show against Sri Lanka where he claimed 6 wickets in two matches.
The list is, however, led by New Zealand’s Trent Boult followed by Bangladesh’s spinner Mehidy Hasan.
England have consolidated their place at the top of the ICC ODI Super League rankings following a 2-0 series win over Sri Lanka.
Their Test skipper Joe Root has moved to 13th place after the No.3 batter hammered 147 runs across two matches.
As far as Sri Lanka is concerned, their skipper Kusal Perera has moved to 41st place while Dhanajaya de Silva has gained ten slots to move to the 74th position.
Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, Dwayne Bravo move up in ICC T20I rankings following the T20I series between West Indies and South Africa
For South Africa, Quinton de Kock had leapfrogged nine placed to move to the 13th spot in the T20I batting rankings after the southpaw smashed 255 runs in five matches against the West Indies.
Aiden Markram is up 23 places to claim the 19th spot while Lungi Ngidi and George Linde have moved 30 and 25 places respectively to claim 43rd and 56th place.
As for the West Indies, swashbuckling opener Evin Lewis and middle-order better Nicholas Pooran have moved 1 and 20 places respectively to claim the 9th and 87th position. Shimron Hetmyer is up 15 places t0 99th.
All-rounder Bravo has moved to the 44th spot from 95th after finishing with 10 wickets in the series while Obed McCoy has moved 65 places to claim the 53rd spot after the left-arm seamer claimed 9 wickets.
As far as T20I rankings for teams are concerned, England and India continue to occupy the top-2 spots followed by New Zealand, Pakistan, Australia, and South Africa.
World champions West Indies are languishing at the 8th spot followed by Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively.
