ICC reveals nominees for Player of the Month for October 2024, Noman Ali, Mitchell Santner feature

International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday (5th November) revealed the nominees for the ICC Player of the Month for October 2024. Pakistan's Noman Ali, South Africa's Kagiso Rabada, and New Zealand's Mitchell Santner will be three players fighting up for the award.
Pakistan National Cricket Team player Noman Ali played a massive role for his team in the Test series against the England National Cricket Team. Making an entry into the team for the second game, he completely changed the dynamics of the way the team played the longest format of the game.

Noman Ali, along with Sajid Khan, wreaked havoc across the England batting lineup and combined to pick 39 wickets in the last two games. Their effort also saw the Pakistan National Cricket Team winning the Test match at home after more than 1300 days.
Kagiso Rabada picked 14 wickets in the two games that he played
The other nominee for the ICC Player of the Month is Kagiso Rabada. The fast bowler came up with a massive effort with the ball in the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team that helped his team register a whitewash away from home.
Kagiso Rabada picked 14 wickets at an impressive average of 9.00 in the two games that he played. The fast bowler also came up with the two fifers in two games. He bagged figures of 9/72 in the first game and then followed it up with 5/37 in the second match against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team and also won the Player of the Series award.
The third nominee for the ICC Player of the Month for October is Mitchell Santner
The third nominee for the ICC Player of the Month for October is Mitchell Santner. The left-arm spinner played a massive role in his team's scripting history in India. He came up with the sensational bowling effort in Pune that helped the New Zealand National Cricket Team win the series.
Mitchell Santner picked 7 wickets in the first innings and then bagged 6 scalps in the second innings. The left-arm spinner returned with the figures of 13/157 and won the Player of the Match award for his efforts. He also played a valuable hand with the bat, scoring 33 runs in the first innings with the bat.
For the ICC Women's Player of the Month for October, the first nominee of New Zealand player Melie Kerr. She played a massive role in her team winning the T20 World Cup. She slammed 135 runs off her six appearances and clinched 15 wickets in the tournament.
South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt also features in the nominees for the ICC Women's Player of the Month. She mustered 223 runs at an average of 44.60 and took her team to the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 before losing in the summit clash.
Deandra Dottin is the third nominee for the ICC Women's Player of the Month award. She made her return to the team for the T20 World Cup 2024. The West Indies Women's National Cricket Team batter piled up 120 runs at a fiery strike rate of 162.16. She also picked five wickets across as many games.
