A list of 20 probable players who might be on the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup in the Caribbean and USA was reportedly revealed recently. Two very interesting names in Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal were included in the list.

While there were talks of Kohli unlikely to be picked, Chahal was out of the Indian team for a long time now. However, his consistent bowling in this edition of the IPL so far has impressed the selectors. Kohli is topping the Orange Cap list with 361 runs from seven games while Chahal topping the Purple Cap list with 12 wickets from seven games as well.

In Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian squad has two youngsters who have displayed immense potential for the team in recent times. Last season, Gill finished on top of the Orange Cap list with 890 runs in 17 matches. Meanwhile, Jaiswal smacked 625 runs in 14 games, with a ton and five half-centuries.

Now experts Eoin Morgan and Zaheer Khan have shared their opinions on the squad that has been revealed for the upcoming T20 World Cup squad. Morgan had his favor towards Gill but said that the slot for the other opener will be between him and Yashasvi Jaiswal and that Kohli's spot is guaranteed in the XI.

For Me Virat Kohli Is Already There: Zaheer Khan

"Shubman Gill's a magnificent player and highly regarded, not just here, but around the world, for me has to be a contender to be on the plane, let alone get in that strongest XI and when it comes to contending for batting positions, in that six or seven batters that they might take given the all around us that they have, it does come up to probably him or Yashasvi Jaiswal. And not a case of him against Virat Kohli. For me, Virat Kohli is there already," Morgan said.

Zaheer Khan, on the other hand, said that he is finding it difficult to choose between the two openers.

"Well, selectors are definitely gonna have some good headaches there, because when you're looking at the top order of of any team, there is a lot of traffic jam there. You know which direction selectors are going to go and we have to wait and see. But if you ask me, Shubman has to be there, and it will be between Yashasvi and Shubman for sure. Maybe they will stick to Virat being at number three. They've already announced Rohit as captain. So you you know that there is only one spot up for grabs" added Zaheer Khan.

Gill and Jaiswal both have had slow starts in this edition of the IPL. Gill has scored 262 runs in the first seven games so far at an average of 43.83. His team was skittled out for just 89 by Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday. Jaiswal surprisingly has not got a start yet in this year's IPL with just 212 runs from seven games at an average of 17.29.
