ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule Revealed; Lord's Designated Final Host

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which is set to be hosted by England. According to the ICC, the marquee tournament will begin on June 12, with the final scheduled to be played at the Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.

A total of 12 teams will compete for the title during the Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales. Eight nations have already secured their spots, while the remaining four will qualify through a qualifier scheduled for next year. Seven venues were finalized based on a detailed selection process.

Hosts England will kick off the Women’s T20 World Cup with the opening match against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12.

Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, and two teams that will advance from the Global Qualifier will be part of Group 1. England, defending champions New Zealand, Sri Lanka, former champions West Indies, and two more qualifier teams will be in Group 2.

The T20 World Cup will be held over 24 days, with 33 matches scheduled across seven venues. Notably, the top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals, which are set to be played at The Oval on June 30 and July 2. The tournament will conclude with the final at Lord’s on July 5.

Potential to Be Truly Game-Changing - Nat Sciver-Brunt on Women's T20 World Cup

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt expressed her excitement ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup. Sciver-Brunt added that she is eagerly looking forward to playing against the world’s best teams for a global title.

“World Cups are always special, but this one already feels different – it has the potential to be truly game-changing," Nat Sciver-Brunt said.

“It’s going to be a huge moment for our sport and a brilliant opportunity to inspire young people and captivate fans across the country. Playing on home soil, for the biggest prize, against the best players in the world, it’s going to be unmissable. I can’t wait to be a part of it," she added.
