Bangladesh falters in chase against New Zealand:
While Bangladesh did well with the ball, they could not complement that effort with the bat. It did not take New Zealand long to end Bangladesh's hopes of winning the match. None of Bangladesh's top five batters could even reach the 5-run mark as their team was reduced to 33/6 after 14 overs.
Even the 100-run mark was looking like a distant dream at that stage before Fahima Khatun's 34-run knock provided some respectability to the total. In the end, Bangladesh were all out for 127 runs. The likes of Nahida Akter (17) and Rabeya Khan (25) played handy knocks as well to help their team cross the 100-run mark.
For New Zealand, Jess Kerr and Lea Tahuhu picked up three wickets apiece while Rosemary Mair claimed two wickets.
