Cricket South Africa has named its 15-member squad for the ICC World Cup 2023 to be played in India from October 5-November 19. Temba Bavuma has been named as the captain with the senior players back in the side.
Quinton de Kock, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, and Anrich Nortje all of whom were not included in South Africa’s T20I squad for the series against Australia are back for the World Cup squad.
Their return certainly makes the side look a competitive one. Youngsters like Dewald Brevis and Tristan Stubbs have been left out. Both were a part of the Proteas T20I squad that played the series against the Aussies.
