Rishabh Pant’s remarkable pace of recovery has taken everyone by surprise. The wicketkeeper-batsman was involved in a horrific car accident towards the end of the last year while he was on his way home from Delhi and has been sidelined since then.

Not many had expected Rishabh Pant to make a recovery at such a fast rate. In June this year, the pace of his recovery left the BCCI and the medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) surprised. The pace of recovery was so impressive that many even started talking about the possibility of Rishabh Pant playing in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

The star wicketkeeper-batsman is currently at the NCA and is doing his best to make his much-awaited return to international cricket as soon as possible. He recently started to walk without crutches and climb stairs without any support. Rishabh Pant has also started facing bowlers in the nets and recently he took part in a local match in Bengaluru.

The video of his batting from the match has gone viral on social media. And one video shows Rishabh Pant flicking a delivery for a six in a very nonchalant manner. The ball was on the pads and the India star managed to flick it for a maximum with utmost ease.

Rishabh Pant’s comeback series:

Rishabh Pant might have been recovering very quickly and has started batting in the nets but he is unlikely to return any time soon. According to reports, the left-handed batsman is unlikely to play competitive cricket this year. The wicketkeeper-batsman is likely to make his return to international cricket in January next year when India hosts England for a five-match Test series.

The Test series is scheduled to start on January 26 and there is a big chance that Rishabh Pant will be a part of the Indian team. His last appearance for Team India came during the Mirpur Test against Bangladesh in December 2022.

In his absence, the Indian team has been relying on the likes of KS Bharat, KL Rahul, and Ishan Kishan for the wicketkeeping duties. Rahul and Kishan are likely to be the wicketkeeping options for Team India in the upcoming Asia Cup as well as the World Cup.
