The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 Points Table has witnessed changes twice in a gap of a couple of hours on Saturday, October 26. The Rohit Sharma-led Team India still retains the top spot, but they will have a tough task to reach the WTC 2025 final, set to be played at Lord's next year.
India lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma, who scored 8 runs early in the run chase. Yashasvi Jaiswal (77 off 65) and Shubman Gill (23) provided hope with their batting partnership, but India lost wickets at regular intervals. Ravindra Jadeja (42) showed resistance in the end but didn't guide the team to victory.
Team India Bowled Out For Just 156 Runs In First Innings
New Zealand skipper Tom Latham won the toss and opted to bat at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The visiting team started with a positive approach in their first innings. However, their middle-order batters failed to make an impact as they were bowled out for a total of 259 runs.
