The ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table has witnessed some changes after New Zealand's emphatic win over England in the third T20I of the series. After the win, New Zealand climbed to the fourth position in the points table while England fell to the sixth spot.

The day started with England needing 640 more runs to win with eight wickets in hand. Jacob Bethell and Joe Root started well and put on a stubborn counter-attacking partnership. However, Root's wicket opened the floodgates for New Zealand and they didn't let the opportunity slip away.

The middle order didn't quite trouble the scorers as Harry Brook, who has been in tremendous form this series, was dismissed for his second low score in the match. Gus Atkinson played a blinder down the order with a quickfire knock. Bethell top-scored for England with 76 off 96 balls while Root scored 54 off 64 deliveries.

New Zealand won the match by a mammoth margin of 423 runs. The hosts dominated the match right from the first innings. New Zealand scored 347 runs in the first innings on the back of half-centuries from Tom Latham and Mitchell Santner. Will Young and Kane Williamson too played crucial cameos.

Chasing a massive target to win, England went the Bazball way but that didn't help them prevent the game. In the end, they were bowled out for 234. While the hosts won the match, England went on to clinch the series 2-1 after as they won the first two Tests.
