Abdullah Shafique scored a good half-century while opening the innings, and skipper Shan Masood led from the front by playing a brilliant knock of 87 runs, emerging as the top scorer. Other than the aforementioned batters, Saud Shakeel smashed a good fifty while Salman Agha hit a good 45 runs.

South Africa, meanwhile, in their first innings, were provided a good start by Tristan Stubbs and Tony de Zorzi, who scored 76 and 55 runs. However, the best performances came from the bat of Senuran Muthusamy and Kagiso Rabada, who shocked Pakistan bowlers to smash 89* and 71 runs.

South Africa crush Pakistan to level the series

In their second innings with the bat, Pakistan came up with a horrible batting show. They lost the top three for just 16 runs and came instantly on the back foot. Babar Azam tried to show some fight and scored a half-century, but was unable to convert it into a big score.

Other than Babar Azam, Salman Agha (28) and Mohammad Rizwan (18) chipped in with crucial runs before Pakistan were bundled out for 138 runs.

Chasing a small target of 68 runs, South Africa easily got past the finish line in 12.3 overs to bag an 8-wicket win. It was the first time in 18 years that South Africa beat Pakistan in Pakistan in Test cricket.
