India pacer Mohammed Siraj has his plans ready to dismiss Williamson when India and New Zealand clash in the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC), which will be played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, England from June 18-22.

Kane Williamson is undoubtedly one of the best batsmen in the world and the New Zealand captain is considered to be part of the much revered ‘Fab Four’- the four best batsmen of the current era, which also includes India’s Virat Kohli, Australia’s Steve Smith, and England’s Joe Root. He is currently leading the Blackcaps in a two-Test match series against England.

I Will Focus On Bowling Dots Against Kane Williamson, The Best Batsman In The New Zealand Batting Lineup: Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj had a dream Test debut tour for India when he starred in his team’s 2-1 Test series victory over Australia in their own backyard and he ended up as the highest wicket-taker for India with 13 scalps, including a maiden fifer as well.

The Hyderabad fast bowler will now travel with the Indian team to the UK for the World Test Championship final in which Kohli & Co will face New Zealand from June 18 onwards in Southampton and ahead of the clash, Siraj has revealed his bowling plan to get the better of Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson.

“Australian pitches offer more bounce and pace. I used to bowl at the back of good length there. But in England, there will be more swing. So, I will try to make the batsmen play in the front foot. I will be eyeing to bowl in a particular spot tirelessly.

I will focus on bowling dots against Kane Williamson, the best batsman in the New Zealand batting lineup, to create pressure on him. It will provoke him to go for shots and there will be a high chance of getting him out,” Siraj told ABP LIVE Bengali.

Kane Williamson has been in top form off late and led New Zealand brilliantly as they were the first team to qualify for the WTC final, while India took the long road, defeating Australia in Australia and then England at home to make it into the finals.

“I will be eyeing to bowl in a particular spot tirelessly. I will focus on bowling dots against Kane Williamson, the best batsman in the New Zealand batting lineup, to create pressure on him. It will provoke him to go for shots and there will be a high chance of getting him out,” he added.

It remains to be seen if Mohammed Siraj will get to play in the WTC final or not, but if he does make it into India playing XI, you’ll know how he plans to get rid of Kane Williamson.
