Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has arguably been quite active on social media these days and has often shared banters with Michael Vaughan. With rains playing spoilsport on the first day of the ICC World Test Championship final in Southampton between India and New Zealand, Michael Vaughan has left no stone unturned to tease the Indian fans. But Wasim Jaffer has responded to his comments in style.

Michael Vaughan has been especially critical of the Indian team, mainly due to the pitches they produced in the Test series in the sub-continent earlier this year. After persistent rains washed out the first session of the decider, the 46-year old commented on Twitter that the weather had saved India. The 2005 Ashes-winning skipper faced backlash for his tweet, with fans coming down hard at him.

Instead, Wasim Jaffer, who has made plenty of fans laugh with his hilarious memes, came up with yet another to troll Vaughan. He posted a picture from the famous film Lagaan, starring Amir Khan and released in 2001. By posting the photo, the 43-year old trolled the teams who could not reach the ICC World Test Championship final, including England, the host country of the decider. Vaughan also earlier predicted for New Zealand to beat India and lift the Test Championship trophy.

Below is Wasim Jaffer’s tweet in response to Michael Vaughan’s jibe:
