ILT20 2025 Season 3 set to begin from January 11, to collide with these 2 massive leagues

The 3rd edition of UAE's International League T20 is all set to begin from January 11, 2025 onwards. After two successful editions, ILT20 season 3 will be aiming to capture an even larger audience. 

A reliable source from the Times of India has revealed that the organizers have finalized the dates for ILT20's 3rd edition. The league is slated for a start from January 11 onwards and it will run until February 9th. Over the last two editions, we have witnessed some extraordinary cricketing action with players coming to play the league from across the world. CEO David White says ILT20 is going to get bigger and better 

While speaking to press reporters during the announcement of ILT20 2025's schedule, CEO David White had some positive things to share about the league's aim. 

David White first confirmed that January has been finalized for the commencement of the league following meetings with team owners and stakeholders. White also confirmed that preparations for the third season of ILT20 have already begun and that everyone associated with the league is determined to make the competition bigger and better.  

"We are delighted to confirm the window for DP World International League T20 Season 3. The window has been finalized after discussions with our stakeholders. We have begun our preparations for Season 3 with an aim of making the league even bigger and better." - David White told press reporters. 

White further admitted that ILT20 season 2 was a massive success in every possible metric from viewership to fan engagement in the stadiums. A figure shared on the league's official website indicated that a total of 348 million unique viewers watched the second edition of the league through the Zee Network and this number is expected to increase in the upcoming season.

David White made a very good point about the ILT20 being a very important competition for the development of Middle-East cricketers. He claimed that the league helped the UAE-based players improve their game and also bolstered the UAE National team which qualified for the 2025 Asia Cup T20 edition after a gap of 8 years.  

“The DP World ILT20 is also proving to be a successful platform for the development of the UAE players as seen in their recent outstanding performance in the ACC Premier Cup in Oman which helped them qualify for the prestigious Asia Cup (2025, T20 format) for the first time in eight years." - White concluded. 

How many teams will participate in ILT20 season 3?

The number of teams in ILT20 season 3 will not be increased as the same 6 teams will participate for the ultimate crown. MI Emirates will enter the event as reigning champions with Gulf Giants, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Dubai Capitals, Desert Vipers, and Sharjah Warriors being the other teams. 

ILT20 2025 will have 34 matches with the starting date set for January 11 and the finale is set to take place on February 9th. The competition will be over before Pakistan hosts the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
