Fans on X reacted after Indian skipper Rohit Sharma bagged a golden duck in the ongoing second T20I against Afghanistan. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, where India won the toss and opted to field first.

After India bundled out Afghanistan for 172 runs, Rohit Sharma didn’t have a great outing in the match as he bagged a golden duck and this marked the second consecutive 0 in the series. He tried to be aggressive but in the process saw his stumps getting castled.

During the 5th ball of the first over, Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled a length ball to which the batter tried to swing across the line. The length wasn’t there to play the shot but he had already made up his mind to play the shot.

The ball sneaked under the swinging blade of Rohit Sharma and went on to crash the top of the off-stump. He was dejected as he got out and  Fazalhaq Farooqi was pumped along with the rest of the Afghanistan players.

Rohit Sharma’s comeback series in T20Is is turning out to be torrid for him. The batter was involved in a mixup with Shubman Gill and bagged a two-back duck in the first game. To worsen the case more, he now has another low score under his belt.

Rohit Sharma’s return to the T20I wasn’t welcomed by many there were many negative reactions to it. Many didn’t want to be back in the series and with now him bagging two ducks in two games, things won’t be easy for him. With T20 World Cup 2024 around the corner now, it remains to be seen what will be his future now.
