IND vs AFG: Rohit Sharma under scanner for his underwhelming performances in T20Is
India captain Rohit Sharma recently made a comeback into the Indian team for the T20Is. After the 14th long months, he played for the team and returned to the ongoing Afghanistan series. However, his comeback is turning out to be torrid for him.
In the first match against Afghanistan, Rohit Sharma got out to run as a mix-up with Shubman Gill saw him bagging a two-ball duck. It was expected that he would set the stage on fire in the second game. But things got even worse for him as he bagged a golden duck.
Rohit Sharma with his two failures has come under a scanner for his poor run of form in the T20Is. There even have been calls to drop him from the team. The Indian skipper, however, will be having one more opportunity to silence the critics. He would be hoping to set the stage on fire in the last game against Afghanistan and make his case strong for the T20 World Cup 2023.
The last game between India and Afghanistan will be played on 17th January in Bengaluru. The hosts have already sealed the series with two wins in the first two games.
