Indian batsman Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in the third IND vs AFG T20I match. Kohli came out to bat after the early departure of opener Yashasvi Jaiswal in the third over of the Indian innings. Virat was trying to pull the ball but it got high on his bat and went straight up in the air. Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran didn’t make any mistakes and got the chance to put India under pressure.
There was a huge pin-drop silence in the Bengaluru crowd as they saw their favourite batsman going back to the dressing room. The Chinnaswamy Stadium is like a second home ground for Virat Kohli as he plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore at this stadium in the Indian Premier League. Virat has scored a lot of runs in Bengaluru and the crowd was hoping for the same performance from the modern master.
Virat Kohli made a comeback to T20I cricket after a gap of 14 months in the previous match and scored 29 runs from 16 balls at a strike rate of 181.25. Virat made a comeback in his signature style and showcased the brilliant form that he has been in for the last 1.5 years.
This was the final time when the Bengaluru crowd was seeing Virat Kohli bat in international T20I cricket. India are all set to play the T20 World Cup 2024 set to take place in the USA and West Indies from June 2.
Getting back to the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I match, the Indian cricket team will aim to win the match in Bengaluru and whitewash the Afghani team. India won the previous two games held in Mohali and Hyderabad convincingly and will aim to do the same in Bengaluru. India won both the matches by six wickets respectively and showcased some dominating performance.
