Sport prankster Jarvo‘s antics during the World Cup clash between India and Australia took the cricketing world by surprise. The fans were stunned to see him invade the pitch during such a huge clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (October 8).
Jarvo, whose real name is Daniel Jarvis, became quite popular among cricket fans in India after entering the pitch in three consecutive Tests between England and India in 2021. During the Lord’s Test, he was posing as an Indian player in front of the officials before coming out with a bat during the Leeds Test. In the fourth Test at the Oval, the prankster once again invaded the pitch and tried to bowl before colliding with Jonny Bairstow.
He has also made a number of invasions on the football pitches as well. Last year, he entered the pitch and celebrated with Real Madrid players after their victory over Liverpool in the Champions League final. He has been arrested multiple times for the pitch invasions. Last September, a judge slapped him with a two-year ban from all sports stadiums in the UK.
Mohammed Siraj stunned by Jarvo’s antics:
And when Jarvo entered the field during the India vs Australia clash, not only the fans but the players were shocked too. A video posted by the prankster himself on X (formerly Twitter), shows the reaction of India pacer Mohammed Siraj after he saw the prankster entering the field.
He entered the field of play moments before Australia’s match with India got underway before being taken off the field by the officials. He entered the field in an India kit with ‘Jarvo 69’ printed on the back. At first, Mohammed Siraj extended his hand for a handshake, thinking that the prankster was his teammate, before realizing what was actually going on. In the meantime, the prankster ran past Siraj even though the pacer continuously tried to stop him.
