The battle between Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq was on the fray in the second game between India and Afghanistan. The second match of the three-match series took place at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, which saw the hosts winning the game and clinching the series.

Virat Kohli made his return to T20I setup after 14 months and he had a decent outing in the game. The batter came out with an attacking mindset and took the bowlers right from the start, making sure that they kept the run rate high, which has been the new approach of Indian cricket.

Virat Kohli played some magnificent strokes in his innings and got the crowd going. He gave glimpses of vintage Kohli with the kind of shots that he played. One of the highlighted things of his innings was his battle with Naveen-ul-Haq.

Virat Kohli, who had a fight with Naveen-ul-Haq during the IPL, looked focused on playing against the pacer. He hit a few boundaries against him and made sure the crowd’s money was worth it. But the pacer had a last laugh as he cleaned him up to silence the fans.

During the third ball of the 6th over, Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, bowled a full delivery that was in the slot. Virat Kohli tried to hit over the cricket but he didn’t get the elevation to clear mid-off and was caught by Ibrahim Zadran, who grabbed the ball over his head.

Virat Kohli played a completely different innings from what we have seen over the years. The batter looked in an attacking mode and wanted to score as many boundaries as possible but perished in the process. This could well be an indication of how he will go in the T20Is.

Virat Kohli ended with the knock of 29 runs off 16 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 181 and also smashed 5 boundaries in his innings. His knock came at a crucial time when India lost skipper Rohit Sharma for a duck in the first over.
