Star Indian batter Virat Kohli is putting in the hard work during net practice as the Rohit Sharma-led team gears up for their first match in the World Cup. Virat Kohli underwent an intensive catching practice session ahead of the high-voltage match against Australia.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will kick off their World Cup campaign by taking on Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday, October 8. Notably, the Men in Yellow defeated the home team in an ODI match at the same venue in March this year.

Virat Kohli is preparing for his fourth appearance in the ODI World Cup and his second at home. The right-handed batter was part of India’s victorious campaign in 2011. He and Ravichandran Ashwin have the chance to win multiple titles for India in the ODI World Cups.
In a video shared by a user on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Virat can be seen participating in a catch practice session. Virat, known for always giving his everything, is putting in extra effort in the net session to be well-prepared for the important match.

The Delhi-born cricketer scored 612 runs in 13 innings at an average of 55.64 and a strike rate of 112.92 this year. He has smashed three centuries and two fifties so far. He also has a good record in the ODI World Cup, scoring 1030 runs in 26 innings at an average of 46.81.
