India batter Virat Kohli talked about the secret behind his energy ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. He said that he arrives at the competition at 120% and never arrives at 75%.

India batter Virat Kohli arguably is one of the most energetic players that the game of cricket has seen. The right-hander comes out with the same intensity in almost every game and not that it helps him but it also lifts the team.

Even if the team is down and low on confidence, the hope of winning stays alive in Virat Kohli as he often is very aggressive on the field and it has many times seen the team getting momentum and winning the games from losing positions.

While his energy on the field is for everyone to see, the intensity gets even more high when he bats. Virat Kohli comes up with a positive approach on the field and even when the chips are down, he always stands tall for his team and takes his team home.

Virat Kohli talked about the importance of discipline in life, saying that there needs to be continuity in whatever people do as that is beneficial for everyone. Speaking to TidlSport, he explained:

“Well disciplined, that is the only thing I can mention to anyone. Your diets might differ, and your training time might differ but I think having continuity of what you do on a daily basis is very important.

“Not only as a professional, playing sport at the highest level, in general, doing basic things every day and forming a routine is something that is beneficial for everyone.”

Virat Kohli further talked about how he is also energetic when he walks into the field. He stated that he always gives his best on the field and for that, he puts in a lot of effort. He added:

“Whether you are going to the office, or at home, taking care of things, there should be routine and everything should be in place. Lots of people ask me the question very regularly - 'how do you have so much energy'

“I tell them, I arrive to competition at 120%, I never arrive at 75%. And for that to happen, it’s the process of the last 4 days what I’ve done.”

Virat Kohli will be next seen in action for India in the T20 World Cup 2024. India will open their campaign against Ireland on 5th June.
