India National Cricket Team have come up with a massive plan to tackle Bangladesh's 6'5 tall pacer Nahid Rana ahead of the Test series between the teams. As per the reports in PTI, it is learned that the hosts have called Punjab pacer Gurnoor Brar, who is 6 feet 4.5 inches, for the practice session in Chennai.

India National Cricket Team are all set to host the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for the two-match Test series next week. The first game will be played from 19th September at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Following that the second game between the teams will be played from 27th September in Kanpur.

Indian team have started their preparation for the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The Rohit Sharma-led side are undergoing match simulations, where net bowlers with specific skill sets are helping the batters get ready for the Bangladesh series, which will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship.

What caught the attention of many was that Gurnoor Brar was also spotted in the nets. As per the reports, it is learned that the lanky pacer has been added to the team to get some simulation for the high-arm action of Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana, who troubled the Pakistan batters in the recent Test series.

Nahid Rana, who had a match-haul of five wickets against Pakistan, is threatening because of the bounce he generates from length with his 6ft 5-inch frame and generally bowled straight lines in the second Test against Pakistan. Therefore, to negate his threat, Gurnoor has been added to the team.

The reports also claimed that India are unlikely to prepare rank turners for the first Test against Chennai. This is because they have Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj and it is learned that pitch at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is likely to provide help to both pace bowlers and spinners.

The bounce at the pitch might be high, and hence, Nahid Rana might come into the equation. New Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel also was seen giving some advice on how to bowl to star batters and what kind of specific net sessions they are looking at in the camp.

Apart from Gurnoor Brar, the hosts have also called up Mumbai off-spinner Himanshu Singh, whose action is believed to be similar to Ravichandran Ashwin, and Tamil Nadu slow left-arm bowler S Ajit Ram as net bowlers. Meanwhile, pacers in Akash Deep and Yash Dayal bowled more than Bumrah and Siraj on Day 2 of session.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team will be arriving in India on Sunday

The reports also claimed that the Bangladesh National Cricket Team will be arriving on Sunday. The reports claimed the visitors will be getting tight security in the country. This is because of the civil unrest in the Bangladesh and subsequent ouster of former PM Sheikh Hasina.

The Rohit Sharma-led side would want to win both the Tests and solidify their position at the top of the World Test Championship. Bangladesh, on the other hand, are 4th on the table and would be keen to win the series in India after scripting history in Pakistan.
