IND vs BAN: Suryakumar Yadav picks MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma as his favorite cricketers

India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has picked legendary cricketers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma as his three favorite cricketers currently. Suryakumar Yadav will be in action in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh which will be played after the upcoming Test series.

While Dhoni has retired from international cricket, the other two players Kohli and Rohit are still playing. Kohli and Rohit have retired from the T20I format but are still available for Test and ODI cricket. They will be in action in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh starting on September 19.

With a long Test season ahead, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be crucial to India's chances. Their role will be important in the Border-Gavaskar series which will be played later this year.

Suryakumar Yadav picks MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as his favorite cricketers

During a chat with Star Sports, Suryakumar Yadav named MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma as his favorite cricketers right now. While Suryakumar hasn't played alongside Dhoni, he has played numerous amount of matches with Kohli and Rohit.

"Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni), Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma are my Current favourite Cricketers," Suryakumar Yadav said.

Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit have been pillars of Indian cricket in the past two decades. All three of them have served as India's captains during their respective careers. Currently, Rohit Sharma is India's captain in the Test and ODI formats.

MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the best finishers the game has ever seen. While batting mostly in the lower order, he has bailed India out of many difficult situations in the past with his late hitting. As a captain, Dhoni has probably been India's most successful captain so far. He has led India to a T20 World Cup win (2007), ODI World Cup (2011), and Champions Trophy (2013).

Kohli took over from Dhoni firstly as a Test captain and then as a white-ball captain as well. Under Kohli, India emerged as a force in overseas conditions. As a batter, Kohli is one of the most successful batters in all the formats.

The 35-year-old averages over 48 in all the formats and has scored 80 international hundreds. Kohli is just behind Sachin Tendulkar in the list of most hundreds in international cricket.

Meanwhile, Rohit has been a talismanic batter for India over the years. He made his debut in 2007 but his career rose to prominence after the 2013 Champions Trophy after he was promoted to open the innings. Rohit's ability to put pressure on the bowlers in the powerplay is second to none.

On his day, Rohit can destroy any bowling attack in the world. He is currently on top of the list of the batters with the most no. of sixes in international cricket. Under Rohit Sharma, India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title and finished as the runners-up in the ODI World Cup 2023.
