Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has revealed her favorite sportsperson of all time. The heroine of Indian films and the daughter of Chunky Panday went to pick the India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli, who is one of the most popular athletes around the world cricket.

Virat Kohli is arguably one of the biggest global celebrities. The right-hander has achieved huge fame worldwide because of his cricketing heroics. In his 16-year career so far, he has achieved a lot and has broken numerous records including Sachin Tendulkar's record for the most ODI hundreds.

Off the field, Kohli has earned huge praise from various figures from the entertainment industry and the latest to join the bandwagon is the Bollywood actress Ananya Panday. She called the India National Cricket Team batter her favorite sportsperson of all time.

Panday was interviewed by Sports Tak while promoting her new drama series “Call Me Bae." The 25-year-old was asked to name her favorite sportsperson of all time in a rapid-fire segment. Replying to which, she mentioned "Virat Kohli".

On the cricketing front, Kohli was last seen in action during the ODI series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The right-hander didn't have a great series with the bat as he bagged a series of low scores, and the India National Cricket Team went on to lose the series.

Kohli struggled against the spinner after having started. He failed to register a 50-plus score in the series. He returned with scores of 24, 14, and 20 as the India National Cricket Team, for the first time since 1997, went on to lose the bilateral series against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

Virat Kohli has been spending time off and will now be seen in action during the upcoming Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The series, which will be part of the World Test Championship as well, will see both the teams locking horns with each other in the two games.

India and Bangladesh will be locking horns in the first game, which will be played from 19th September at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Following that the second game between the teams will be played from 27th September in Kanpur.

Virat Kohli, who stays in London, has joined the India National Cricket Team for the Test series against Bangladesh. The batter has kickstarted his preparations for the same and would be keen to make an impact in the longest format of the game. He has been under scanner a bit for his form in Tests.

This will be a massive opportunity for him to regain his form and help his team win. He will be playing Test cricket after a while. He missed the Test series against the England National Cricket Team at home due to personal reasons as his wife gave birth to their second child.
