IND vs IRE: "Boom Boom Is Back With Bang" - Fans React As India Win First T20I By 2 Runs

Fans on X reacted after Indian Cricket Team won the first game by the margin of 2 runs against Ireland due to DLS taking a 1-0 lead in the series at The Village in Dublin. 

India won the toss and opted to field first and their decision paid off as captain Jasprit Bumrah set the tone for the team and picked two wickets in the first over. If this was not enough Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi also chipped in and made a mockery of the Irish team. 

Ireland were tottering at 59/6. But Curtis Campher (39) and Barry McCarthy joined hands together and bailed the team out of trouble. They batted staggeringly well and stitched a half-century partnership for the seventh wicket that brought the team back on track. 

After the wicket of Curtis Campher (39), Barry McCarthy took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners and smashed them all over the park. He smashed a sensational half-century and made sure that his side end up with a fighting total. His valiant effort helped the hosts post a total of 139 runs on the board. 

While chasing the target, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad gave a great start to the team and stitched 46 runs for the opening partnership. While the left-hander was back in the hut for 24 runs, Gaikwad was unbeaten at 18. India lost two back-to-back wickets as after the first wicket, Tilak Varma perished for a golden duck. 

India were 47/2 before rain played the spoilsport and made the umpires call off the game. The visitors were 2 runs ahead as per the par score and eventually, they were crowned the winners and took the 1-0 lead in the series.
