India head coach Rahul Dravid's oratory skill was in full display while he was addressing the media ahead of the team's opening game in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Over the years, the former India skipper has left the audience impressed with his oratory skills on a number of occasions. However, Rahul Dravid left himself impressed as well in the latest turn of events and the reason is that he spoke in Hindi and used an Urdu term as well. The legendary cricketer decided to respond in Hindi after a journalist asked him a question in the same language.

While answering, Rahul Dravid used the Urdu word - 'nazarandaaz' as he said: "Iss format mein, ye format hi yehi hai ki aap kisi ko nazarandaaz ya lightly nahi le sakte (This format itself is such that you just cannot overlook anyone or take anyone lightly)."

Soon after completing the sentence, the former India batsman acknowledged his impressive use of the Urdu word as he gave himself a tap on the back, saying: "Waah! Not bad."

Meanwhile, Team India will be opening their campaign in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Wednesday (June 5) by locking horns against Ireland in New York. It will be the first game of the competition for both the teams. India are coming into this game after an impressive 60-run win over Bangladesh in the warm-up game while Ireland lost their warm-up game against Sri Lanka.

The Men in Blue are favourites to win the forthcoming game and they will be looking to avoid any unexpected upset to start their campaign on a winning note.

Rahul Dravid's tenure to end soon:

The ongoing T20 World Cup is Rahul Dravid's last assignment as Team India's head coach. He has already told the BCCI about his decision to step down following the conclusion of the tournament. Dravid's original contract had ended at the end of the ODI World Cup last year but the BCCI managed to convince him to extend his stay.

Dravid has been plying his trade as the head coach since December 2021. Under his guidance, India have done well in the ICC competitions but are yet to win a trophy. Rohit Sharma & Co. will be looking to bid farewell to their coach by winning the T20 World Cup.
