IND vs PAK: Not Rohit Sharma! Fawad Alam warns Pakistan to be wary of these two India stars in blockbuster T20 WC clash

The much-awaited game between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is just a day away. They will be facing each other on Sunday (June 9) in the 19th game of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. The game is scheduled to be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
India and Pakistan have started their campaign in the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup on a different note. India began their campaign with an impressive 8-wicket win over Ireland. On the other hand, Pakistan suffered a shock defeat at the hands of co-hosts USA.
Pakistan are now in a precarious position and just cannot afford any more slip-ups. A loss against India can all but end their hopes of winning the T20 World Cup for the first time since 2009. And as Pakistan look to bounce back in the upcoming game, their allrounder Fawad Alam has fired a timely warning to them.
Alam has warned Pakistan that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will have an impact in the game and they can take it away from the Men in Green. He also said that India are well-balanced and Pakistan will find it tough to beat them.
"Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will make an impact for India in the game because of their experience and also the quality of both of them. They can easily take the game away from Pakistan," Alam told PTI. "As a team, India is well-balanced, and it will be really hard to get past them.”
Fawad Alam backs Mohammad Amir to bounce back:
Speaking further, Fawad Alam backed Mohammad Amir to redeem himself in the forthcoming game. The left-arm pacer had a forgettable outing in the previous game against the USA as he gave away as many as 18 runs in the super over. Before the super over, Amir had a good outing as he gave away just 25 runs in 4 overs and picked up a wicket as well.
"I feel Mohammad Amir will redeem himself and give a match-winning performance against India alongside captain Babar who has had a pretty decent record against them," said Alam.
"Based on that super over, you can't blame Amir. He is not the same bowler as he was four years back. He has been playing cricket in different leagues and is still Pakistan's best and most experienced bowler," he added.
Talking about the standings in Group A, the USA are currently at the top with 4 points followed by India and Canada who have two points each. Pakistan and Ireland are occupying the last two spots as they are yet to open their accounts.
