The Pakistan team has landed in Ahmedabad from Hyderabad on a chartered flight for their upcoming match in the ICC World Cup 2023. The Babar Azam-led team is set to lock horns with the Rohit Sharma-led team at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, October 14.
After their arrival, the players engaged in a practice session yesterday. The Men in Green will continue to practice at the venue on Friday. The Pakistan team has to take additional safety measures as they prepare for the highly anticipated World Cup match against India.
Pakistan Players Have Been Advised Against Visiting Public Places – Report
According to the Cricket Pakistan report, top authorities of the host country reassured in a meeting that there are no security concerns for the Pakistan team, but extra precautions will be taken in Ahmedabad to avoid public confrontations or negative incidents.
The report stated that players have been advised against visiting public places. However, if they wish to go out for dinner or engage in other activities, they are instructed to notify the security department in advance. The necessary arrangements will be made accordingly.
The report further stated that the team was prepared for the additional safety measures required in Ahmedabad. The Pakistan team will stay in the city for a few days. The players and coaching team will depart for Bangalore on Sunday after the match against India.
The team management has ensured the players’ entertainment at the hotel with a pool table. They received a warm welcome at the Hyderabad airport and hospitality from hotel staff. The players had fun with archery and go-karting and went shopping in Hyderabad.
The Pakistan team came into the event under pressure as they suffered losses in the Asia Cup 2023 and warm-up matches. They started the showpiece event with wins over the Netherlands and Sri Lanka. They are currently in fourth place in the table with four points.
