IND vs PAK: Rohit Sharma Has Backed A Lot Of Boys Under His Captainship- Hardik Pandya

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has said that Rohit Sharma has backed a lot of players under his captainship. He also added that players are going ahead and expressing themselves in Rohit Sharma’s captainship.
Rohit Sharma became the captain of India in November 2021 after Virat Kohli stepped down as T20I skipper. Later, when Kohli left the captaincy in the other two formats as well, Sharma was appointed as the all-format skipper for India.

Rohit Sharma Has Back A Lot Of Boys: Hardik Pandya
While speaking in an ICC video, vice-captain Hardik Pandya heaped praises on captain Rohit Sharma. Pandya said that Sharma has backed a lot of boys under his captainship and given them ample opportunities.
“I think since he has come he has backed a lot of boys which I think we see the result now. The boys are going and kind of expressing themselves. Rohit has been special in giving them enough ample opportunities and at the same point of time telling them you know what, I got it back”, Pandya said.

Notably, Sharma has also allowed Ishan Kishan to open innings on his behalf in some games. He also supported Ishan Kishan to cement his place as a backup wicketkeeper in ODIs.
Meanwhile, Sharma leads India in the ICC World Cup 2023. India has won both of their games in the tournament so far. Sharma stormed a marvellous century in the last match against Afghanistan driving his team to victory.

Sharma led the team to the Asia Cup 2023 title last month and now aims to grab the ICC World Cup 2023 title at home. India is set to face Pakistan on Saturday, October 14. The encounter takes place at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
