Star Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi failed to perform up to expectations with the ball during the ICC World Cup 2023. Shaheen Afridi has experienced a noticeable dip in his bowling speed, which raises speculation that an injury may be impacting his performance.

Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up just two wickets in the first two matches of the World Cup. The left-arm pacer picked up each wicket against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in Hyderabad. He didn’t complete his full quota of overs, with his economy rate on the higher side at 6.44.

Afridi picked up six wickets at an average of 69 in his last five ODIs. He failed to take any wickets in the World Cup warm-up match against Australia. His last notable performance came against India, where he took four wickets in the group stage of the Asia Cup.
