IND vs PAK: Virat Kohli Hurts Us: Haris Rauf Submits Before Indian Legend Ahead Of World Cup Clash

Pakistan fast-bowler Haris Rauf has opened up on the challenge of bowling to India batting superstar Virat Kohli ahead of mega India vs Pakistan clash in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The much-awaited match is scheduled to take place on Saturday (October 14) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan are eyeing a historic win over Team India. The Men in Green are yet to taste success against India in the marquee event. The arch-rivals have played seven World Cup games against each other and Pakistan ended up on the wrong side of the result on each occasion. Even in 1992 when they went on to win the World Cup, Pakistan could not beat India.

The Men in Green will be desperate to end their winless streak against India in the upcoming game. But one man who can spoil their plans is Virat Kohli. Time and again, Virat Kohli has hurt Pakistan in big games, and one man who knows it really well is Haris Rauf.

The fast bowler was at the receiving end of Kohli’s stunning onslaught against Pakistan in last year’s T20 World Cup. India needed 31 off the last 12 balls while chasing 160 when Kohli smashed Haris Rauf for back-to-back sixes on the last two balls of the 19th over. India had gone on to win the thrilling game.

And as Haris Rauf gears up to face Kohli once again, he has opened up on the challenges of bowling to the India star. Speaking to Star Sports, he said:

“Everyone expects me to dismiss him. If we don’t dismiss him,  the kind of batsman he is, he hurts us. He will score runs, he will play shots that will hurt your team. So the plan is to get him out on the first ball or as early as possible.
