IND vs PAK: Wasim Akram Shares Massive Rohit Sharma Threat To Pakistan Team Ahead Of World Cup Clash

Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram hailed Rohit Sharma for his marvelous century against Afghanistan in the last game. Wasim Akram said that Rohit Sharma was a different beast in the match.
Sharma shattered a 131-run knock against Afghanistan to score the fastest century by an Indian player in the ODI World Cup. The right-handed batsman single-handedly drove Team India to victory in the match with his magnificent ton.

Rohit Sharma Was A Different Beast: Wasim Akram
While speaking on A Sports, Wasim Akram heaped praises on Rohit Sharma for his batting against Afghanistan. He said that Sharma was a different beast in the match.
“Rohit Sharma looked so beautiful. He played proper shots and took no risks at all. He had a lot more time than the other batters. Kohli scored a fifty, it was a good knock, he was in control but Rohit was a different beast altogether,” Akram said.

Other than Sharma, Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten fifty in the match to get the winning runs for the team. Batting first, Afghanistan piled up 272-8 on the scoreboard.
After openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran failed to provide a good start to the team, skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi arrived with a fabulous knock of 80 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai also slammed 62 runs.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah hunted a 4-wicket haul to restrict Afghanistan from reaching a big total. With Sharma’s century, the match became a lopsided victory for the team.
India has won two games in ICC World Cup 2023 so far. They will next face Pakistan. The encounter takes place on Saturday, October 14 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan too bagged victories in both of their opening matches.
