IND vs PAK: WATCH- Gautam Gambhir Lauds Virat Kohli For His Gestures To Stop Crowd From Teasing Naveen-ul-Haq

Gautam Gambhir praised Virat Kohli for his gestures to stop the crowd from teasing Naveen-ul-Haq during the IND vs AFG match of the ICC World Cup 2023. Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq faced each other in the match after their earlier altercation in IPL 2023.

However, Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq patched up with each other during the match, sharing hugs and shaking hands. Virat Kohli also gestured for the crowd to not tease Naveen-ul-Haq during the match.

Gautam Gambhir Reacts To Virat-Naveen Patch-Up

After the match, Gautam Gambhir and commentator Jatin Sapru had a chat over the Virat Kohli-Naveen-ul-Haq patch-up incident. Gautam Gambhir said that the crowd should have behaved in a better way after Virat Kohli-Naveen-ul-Haq’s fight. He also praised Virat Kohli for his gestures towards the crowd.

“Everyone has a right to fight for his team, fight for his performance, and win for his team. I believe whatever happened earlier should have been left there. However, the way the crowd behaved after the event, they could have behaved sensibly after the incident. Because no one from the crowd know what happened during the event. Only the players from both teams know about that. So I hope crowd will behave in a better way in future”, Gambhir said.

Ever since Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq had an altercation in IPL 2023, fans used to chat Kohli’s name to tease the Afghanistan pacer in stadiums. During IPL 2023, Kohli and Haq had a verbal spat during an RCB vs LSG match. Gautam Gambhir also got involved in the fight and had a verbal altercation with Kohli after the match.
