IND vs PAK: Watch - Virat Kohli Almost Gets Run-Out After Mix-up With Rohit Sharma

India started their chase well against Pakistan in match 12 of the ICC World Cup 2023. However, the blood pressure of the fans also shot up for a bit as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were involved in a horrible mix-up at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

India bundled out Pakistan for just 191 runs and then in the chase, captain Rohit Sharma went berserk and took his team off the flier. He played blistering shots and kept hitting bowlers even though he lost his opening partner Shubman Gill (16) early. 

Rohit Sharma along with Virat Kohli then attacked Pakistani bowlers and put them under pressure. They both looked good to the eyes and batted well for their 56-run partnership. However, they both had a mixup as well and it saw the latter almost getting out. 

It happened during the 9th over when Haris Rauf bowled a low full toss to Rohit Sharma, who played it towards the mid-on. As he played, he immediately ran for a run and there was a yes-no moment between the two. Virat Kohli looked back at the ball and said no. 

But Rohit Sharma was halfway down and Virat Kohli charged and put in a dive. Had there been the direct hit, it would’ve been curtains for the batter. After the mixup between the two pioneers of cricket, they exchanged smiles. Here’s the video:

IND vs PAK: Virat Kohli perishes for 16 against Pakistan 

Virat Kohli after that mixup didn’t last long as he was back in the hut in the very next over. He perished to Hasan Ali, who bowled a short of a length delivery outside off stump. 

The batter tried to play the pull shot towards mid on but he mistimed it and handed a dolly. Virat Kohli scored 16 runs off 18 balls. He smashed 3 fours in his innings. After his wicket, Rohit Sharma continued his carnage on the Pakistan bowlers and slammed a staggering half-century. With the way, he’s batting he has made bowlers look clueless.
