Indian cricketers are working hard in the nets as the Rohit Sharma-led team gears up for the upcoming Asia Cup, which is set to begin on August 30. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja participated in an intense training session during the six-day conditioning camp in Alur, Bengaluru.

Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja returned to the team after being rested for the T20I series against West India and Ireland. The team management and selectors have decided to rest the senior players from T20Is in the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 at home as their primary focus.

In a video shared by a user on Twitter (X), Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja were seen batting together as a pair. The right-handed batter guided the ball to the leg side. The left-handed batter played a similar shot on the next ball, as seen in the viral clip.

India Player Set To Depart Colombo On August 30

Indian players are currently undergoing mandatory fitness assessments, including the Yo-Yo test. Shubman Gill achieved an impressive score of 18.7 on the Yo-Yo test. The team is set to depart for Colombo on August 30 after concluding their conditioning camp on August 29.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently named a 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team, with Hardik Pandya serving as his deputy. KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Jasprit Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna returned to the squad.

The Men in Blue will take on Pakistan in their first group-stage match at the Pallekele International Stadium on Saturday, September 2. The Indian team will face the Nepal cricket team in their second group-stage match at the same venue in Pallekele on Monday, September 4.
