Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is on the verge of achieving a significant milestone in the Asia Cup 2023 final against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Rohit Sharma is only 33 runs away from becoming the leading run-scorer for India in the history of the Asia Cup in the ODI format.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will face the defending champions, Sri Lanka, in the final of the Asia Cup 2023 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, September 17. India registered a 41-run victory in the previous match against Sri Lanka in the Super Four stage.
The Indian captain completed the 10,000-run milestone in ODIs during the match against Sri Lanka, becoming the sixth Indian batsman to achieve the milestone. The right-handed batter became the second-fastest cricketer to achieve the milestone in terms of innings.

Legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar leads the chart of most runs for India in the 50-over format in Asia Cup history. The Master Blaster scored 971 runs in 23 innings with an average of 46.95. Sachin smashed two centuries and seven fifties in the continental tournament.
Rohit Sharma, who is the second leading run-getter in ODIs for India in the Asia Cup, scored 939 runs in 27 matches with an impressive average of 46.95. The 36-year-old smashed one century and nine fifties. He led Team India to victory in the 2018 edition in the UAE.

The Rohit Sharma-led team will aim for their seventh Asia Cup title in the ODI format and eighth overall (including the 2016 T20I edition). Rohit has been in good form throughout the tournament, scoring 194 runs with an impressive average of 48.50 and a strike rate of 107.78.
