IND vs SL: Watch - Mohammed Siraj Rattles Kusal Mendis' Stumps To Pick His 6th Wicket In Asia Cup 2023 Final

Mohammed Siraj has bowled a dream spell in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 Final against Sri Lanka. The pacer has put his side in the winning position with his unplayable spell in the high-pressure game at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. 

Mohammed Siraj made a mockery of the Sri Lanka batting lineup and left them in the doldrums. He registers the fastest-ever 5-wicket haul for India in international cricket. The pacer took just 16 balls to achieve the feat. 

However, Mohammed Siraj didn’t stop there as picked his 6th wicket as well in Kusal Mendis. The fast bowler bowled an inswinger at a good pace. The batter tried to go for a drive and got the faint inside edge. The ball went on to crash the stumps to send the batter packing.

Kusal Mendis, however, was the only batter from Sri Lanka who looked settled. He showed great composure and it seemed that he would take Sri Lanka to the competitive total. He scored 17 runs off 34 balls and also smashed 3 fours in his innings. 

Earlier Mohammed Siraj kickstarted his spell with a maiden over. After that in the second over he destroyed the Sri Lanka batting lineup as he picked four wickets in that over. This arguably was one of the best spells in the history of the Asia Cup.

IND vs SL: Hardik Pandya Compliments Mohammed Siraj well as he picks three wickets to bundle out Sri Lanka for just 50 runs 

After Mohammed Siraj’s staggering bowling, Hardik Pandya complimented him well as he picked three wickets that saw Sri Lanka getting bundled out for just 50 runs in the final of the Asia Cup 2023. Apart from these two, Jasprit Bumrah also bagged one wicket. 

Mohammed Siraj returned with the figures of 6/21 whereas Hardik Pandya ended with 3/3. Jasprit Bumrah on the other hand had figures of 1/23.
