IND vs USA: Watch - Rohit Sharma left absolutely shocked as Virat Kohli bags golden duck in New York

India captain Rohit Sharma was left stunned by the way his opening partner Virat Kohli got out in the ongoing game against the United States of America (USA) in the T20 World Cup 2024. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

India didn't have the kind of start with the bat they would've wanted in the chase. After they restricted the United States of America to just 110 runs, they had a torrid start as Virat Kohli fell on the first ball that he faced at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

On the second ball of the first over, Saurabh Netravalkar bowled a full delivery that was angled across the right-hander, to which the batter wanted to have a feel for it. He chased it away from his body and caught the outside edge of the bat that was caught by the keeper. 

What caught the attention of many reactions of Rohit Sharma after Virat Kohli got out. The India captain, who was standing at the other end, looked stunned and couldn't believe that his opening batter bagged a golden duck in the game against the United States of America.

Virat Kohli continued his torrid form with the bat in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. He bagged a golden duck and this marked his third failure in the tournament. He scored 1 run against Ireland and then followed it up with a 4-run knock against Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

After Virat Kohli got out, Rohit Sharma too couldn't get going as he perished in the third over of the innings. The captain of the team was also removed by Saurabh Netravalkar, who made sure he took his team off to a flying start with the ball at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

Saurabh Netravalkar bowled a scrambled seam that was fullish in length. The ball held onto the pitch a bit, and Rohit Sharma was early to close his bat-face and the ball lobbed up in the air off the leading edge. Harmeet Singh ran back from mid-off and took a running catch.

Rishabh Pant (18) also perished early and India was left tottering at 39/3. But Suryakumar Yadav (50*) and Shivam Dube (31*) stood tall for their team and added unbeaten 72 runs as India chased the target by 7 wickets at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York and entered the Super 8 stage.

After Saurabh Netravalkar removed both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the game against India in the T20 World Cup 2024, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif was in awe of it. He feels that the USA bowler will have a story to tell his grandchildren. Taking to his Twitter account, he stated: 

"Netravalkar first gets Virat Kohli for golden duck and Rohit Sharma cheaply to capture memories for a lifetime. What a story to tell his grandchildren."
