West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva’s mother expressed her desire to see her son play with Virat Kohli for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Caroline Da Silva said that Virat Kohli is absolutely humble, even after achieving so much in professional cricket and life.
Virat Kohli met Joshua Da Silva’s mother during the recently concluded second Test against the West Indies in Trinidad. The 34-year-old exchanged a warm hug with her and a friendly chat. Silva was heard on the stump mic saying how big a Kohli fan his mother is on Day 1 of the match.
Insane Dream Moment For Us – Caroline Da Silva
Speaking to RevSportz at their Trinidad home, Caroline Da Silva expressed that it would be a dream come true moment for them to see their son playing for RCB in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“It will be the insane dream moment for us. We will be in India to witness that moment if it ever comes true. It is hugely popular here and with so many West Indians playing it will be fantastic for Joshua if he gets an opportunity,” said Caroline.
Virat Kohli completed his 500th international match during the second Test. He made his milestone match memorable by smashing his 29th international century in the longer format of the game. However, the match ended in a draw as the last day’s play was washed out due to rain.
Virat Kohli Is A Family Man And The Ideal Son – Caroline Da Silva
Caroline Da Silva lauded Virat Kohli for his values and mentioned that he possesses the qualities every mother desires in her child.
“He has achieved so much and yet he has the values that every mother seeks in their child. He is a family man and the ideal son.
He is a very reserved person and hasn’t said much. But sport is about respect and he respects Virat Kohli a lot and that’s what he was saying to Virat when he suggested that he wanted Virat to get a 100,” she concluded.
Virat Kohli will be next seen in action during the three-match ODI series against the West Indies, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, July 27.
