Records in sight for Team India stars:
The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja are on the cusp of achieving big milestones in the 50-over format of the game. The Indian stars can very well achieve these feats in the upcoming three-match series against West Indies.
- Rohit Sharma needs only 175 runs more to reach the 10000-run mark in the ODIs. He can become the 14th player and just the sixth Indian player to achieve the incredible feat. Rohit Sharma is in good form and will be looking to enter the 10000-run club against West Indies. The other Indians to achieve this feat are Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli.
- Virat Kohli can reach the 13000-run mark in ODIs in the upcoming series. The former India captain needs to score 102 runs to achieve the feat. The record is currently held by Sachin Tendulkar who did it in 321 innings. Kohli, on the other hand, has batted in only 274 innings so far.
- Star allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is also on the verge of adding yet another feather to his illustrious cap. He needs three more wickets to go past the legendary Kapil Dev’s feat of picking the most wickets against West Indies in ODIs (43). The left-arm spinner can also become the leading wicket-taker in the history of India vs West Indies ODIs if he takes four more wickets.
