Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli is arguably one of the most popular cricketers in the world at the moment, with millions of fans across the globe. Virat Kohli brought joy to a family by accepting and wearing a handmade bracelet made by a young fan girl at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Virat Kohli is currently part of India’s ODI squad for the three-match series against the West Indies. However, the right-handed batter didn’t come to bat in the first ODI despite five wickets falling in India’s batting. He and Rohit Sharma were rested for the second match on Saturday, July 29.

“I was screaming ‘Kohli’, he came over and I gave him my bracelet that I made with my hands,” the kid said.
“It’s a family reunion,” the girl’s father added in the video. “We love cricket, we are a family of cricket and we thought this is the best time to be here and see the game. It was really kind of him to come over here because my daughter did really make him a bracelet and he was really nice and it… it brings tears to my eyes that he was so down to earth coming over here and wearing the bracelet in front of us and taking pictures.”
Skipper Rohit Sharma and middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav also took time to interact with some fans. They greeted the supporters, posed for photographs, and signed autographs.
Team India Suffered Humiliating Defeat
The Men in Blue suffered a loss to the West Indies in the second match of the ongoing series. The Indian batters displayed poor batting performances and were bundled out for 181 runs despite a 90-run opening partnership between Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill.
Sanju Samson (9) and Axar Patel (11), who replaced Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, failed to make the most of the opportunity. The home team chased down the target in 36.4 overs. The third and final ODI will take place at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on August 1.
