Fans on Twitter reacted after India thumped West Indies by 7 wickets in just 17.5 overs in the third game of the five-match series at the Providence Stadium in Guyana to keep the series alive.

After being asked to bowl first, India didn’t have a good start with the ball as West Indies openers Kyle Mayers (25) and Brandon King (42) smashed 55 runs for the opening partnership. Nicholas Pooran played a vital knock of 20 runs but Kuldeep Yadav made the opposition batter look clueless as he picked up three wickets in the middle.

It looked like the West Indies will be bundled for a low total but skipper Rovman Powell played a blinder in the end and smashed unbeaten 40 runs in just 19 balls to take his team to a total of 159 runs. Apart from Kuldeep, Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar picked one wicket each for India.

Chasing the target, it was another horrible outing for Indian openers as debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal scored just 1 run and Shubman Gill managed just 6 runs. But it was a blessing in disguise for the team as Suryakumar Yadav regained his touch and played a staggering innings and made a mockery of West Indies bowlers.

He smashed fiery 83 runs off 44 balls to completely take the game away from the West Indies. Tilak Varma supported him well and scored unbeaten 49 runs before skipper Hardik Pandya (20*) finished the game for his team to win the first game of the series by 7 wickets.
