The Indian cricket team represents India in international cricket. It is governed and run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It is a full member of the ICC and has the status to play in all three formats.

India's journey in the game began in 1932 when they played their first-ever Test match against England at Lord's. The team struggled to do well in the first few decades but is now one of the most dominant teams in international cricket.

India won their first ODI World Cup in 1983 and have gone from strength to strength since then. In the last couple of decades or so, they are arguably the best all-format team in the game.

In 2013, the Men in Blue also won the ICC Champions Trophy. They won all the trophies under MS Dhoni's captaincy.

In 2023, India qualified for the final of the ODI World Cup but suffered a loss against Australia before winning the T20 World Cup in 2024. India won the Champions Trophy 2025 and became the first team to win the competition thrice.

India Cricket Team Anthem:

While Team India does not have an official anthem, the India cricket team anthem that always unites the players and the fans is the rendition of the Indian national anthem, 'Jana, Gana, Mana'.

The national anthem is sung before every big match, including all the games in the ICC tournaments. It is sung just after the toss as players from both teams line up on the field. In ICC events, the national anthems of both teams are played.

Additionally, the phrase 'Bleed Blue' has become an unofficial tagline for the India cricket team. The India cricket team is popularly known as the Men in Blue, and the Bleed Blue phrase has pretty much become its war cry.
