India will take on England in the third of the IND vs ENG five-match Test series 2025. This article provides details about India's Playing 11 vs England for the third match of the series.

India Playing 11 vs England- 3rd Test, India Tour of England 2025:

Openers: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal

India will continue to open the batting with in in-form duo of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, and would want them to lay a solid platform for the team at the top of the order, like they have been doing since the tour of Australia.

The duo got the team off to a good start on the opening day of the Test series and continued it in the second innings of the second Test by forming a quick fifty-run partnership on the third day.

There has been little to choose between KL and Yashasvi as both batters have taken the responsibility and scored runs in either innings.

It was Yashasvi who scored a hundred in the first innings of the first game, while KL contributed with the bat in the second innings.

Both batters would want to replicate the performance they have given in the series so far in the third game as well.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Karun Nair, Shubman Gill (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar

The visitors are expected to go in with the same batting combination, with Karun Nair coming in at number three, followed by the captain and the vice-captain.

Although Karun Nair did not get a big score in the last match, the right-hander added valuable runs for the second wicket and stabilized the innings to make things easy for Shubman Gill.

Gill scored a match-winning double hundred, 269 runs to be precise, in the first innings, and followed it up with a 150-plus score in the second innings, which earned him the player of the match award.

The onus will once again be on him and the vice-captain Rishabh Pant to capitalize on the start given by the openers to guide the team to a big score, as was the case in the first innings of the last match.

The visitors would also be happy with the contribution of Ravindra Jadeja with the bat in both innings. The all-rounder scored fifties in the match and formed a vital partnership with Shubman Gill for the sixth wicket.

Bowlers: Akash Deep, Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah

India's fast bowling lineup looks in magnificent form coming into the third match, with both Siraj and Akash Deep taking five-wicket hauls in the last match, and was well supported by Prasidh Krishna.

The fast bowling department will be boosted by the return of Jasprit Bumrah, who was rested for the second match.

Bumrah's return would mean that one of the bowlers will have to sit out in the next match at Lord's.

It would be interesting to see if India goes into the third Test with four genuine fast bowlers or the Shubman Gill-led side retains the combination of three fast bowlers and two spinners.
