India will take on South Africa in the third of the three-match ODI series. This article provides details about India's Playing 11 vs South Africa for the third match of the series.

India Playing XI vs South Africa- 3rd ODI, South Africa Tour of India 2025:

Openers: Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal

India would hope to get 10-15 runs more than what the team scored in the second OD against South Africa, as they end up on the losing side despite scoring 358 runs with centuries from the bat of Kohli and Gaikwad.

The KL Rahul-led side was up to the task with the bat once again for the best part of the innings and kept the pressure on the opposition bowlers.

Having said that, there were a couple of areas that the Me in Blue would hope for a better outcome in the upcoming match, one of them being the opening partnership.

The opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal hasn't been able to click together and would hope to do so in the series decider.

The team management would hope for Rohit to go on and score abhunred if he gets off to a start in the second ODI as well.

Talking about individual performances of both batters in the first two matches, Rohit started the series with a century and looked good before getting out in the previous match.

Yashasvi, on the other hasn't got going in the series and will be under a bit of pressure in the next match.

Both batters would wish to get a big score under their belt individually as well and lay a platform for the incoming batters in the first ten overs.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Virat Kohli, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Washington Sundar, KL Rahul (c/wk), Ravindra Jadeja

As far as the form of India's middle order in the second ODI is concerned, it failed to carry on the good work done by Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad, both of whom scored an attacking century, with only KL Rahul scoring a half-century.

The contribution or the lack of it from the likes of Washington Sundar, who was dismissed for one, and Ravindra Jadeja, who failed to find the middle of the bat, meant that India failed to score 10-15 runs extra, which proved to be decisive in the end.

However, credit must be given for the way Kohli and Ruturaj got India's innings back on track after the team lost both openers in quick succession by playing in an attacking manner in the middle phase of the innings.

The duo would look to do more of the same on a surface that is expected to be good for batting in Visakhapatnam.

Bowlers: Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna

Bowling and fielding were the two aspects that played a vital role in India finding itself on the wrong side of the result after the second ODI, and it would hope for better efforts with the ball and in the field to come out victorious in the next match.

The likes of Harshit Rana and Prasidh Krishna would be entrusted to come up with a better performance in the series decider after being on the expensive side in the previous match.

Arshdeep Singh, the spearhead of the Indian fast bowling attack in this particular series, on the other hand, was the only bowler who was able to execute his plans and would hope to do so in the last match as well.

The spin bowling attack of India also looked off colour, with Kuldeep Yadav being the only spinner who bowled his full quota of overs and did a decent job by picking up a wicket, which could have been two in tough bowling conditions, especially for the spinners

Along with Kuldeep, Ravindra Jadeja was another slow bowler who provided some sort of control, while Washington Sundar looked totally off colour with bat, ball, and in the field, and would eye a strong comeback in the third game.
