India tour of Sri Lanka 2024: IND vs SL schedule, dates, venues, timings announced by SLC

Sri Lanka Cricket, on Thursday (July 11), confirmed the full schedule of their forthcoming series against Team India at home. India will be visiting the island nation later this month for an ODI and T20I series.

It will be Team India's first assignment under new coach Gautam Gambhir who recently replaced Rahul Dravid. While India's first assignment since becoming the T20 world champions is the ongoing five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, the series against Sri Lanka is likely to see most of the players from the World Cup-winning squad returning to action.

Team India and Sri Lanka will be resuming their rivalry in white-ball cricket later this year. It will be the first meeting between the two teams in any format since the ODI World Cup match in Mumbai. Sri Lanka had suffered a humiliating 302-run defeat on that occasion and will be looking to make amends in the upcoming series.

India tour of Sri Lanka full schedule:

Sri Lanka will host India for three T20Is and as many ODIs. The T20I series will kickstart the India tour of Sri Lanka 2024. According to the itinerary released by SLC, India will be arriving in Sri Lanka on July 22 while the T20I series will get underway on July 26.

The second and third T20Is are scheduled to take place on July 27 and 29 respectively. All three T20Is will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. Both the teams will then move to Colombo for the ODI series.

The first ODI will take place on August 1 while the second and third games are scheduled to take place on August 4 and 7 respectively. The ODI series will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.

Sri Lanka vs India 2024 full schedule:

India will be visiting Sri Lanka for the first time since 2021. On the previous tour, India had played 4 T20Is and 3 ODIs. India had won the T20I series by a margin of 3-1 before losing the ODIs 2-0.
