Rishabh Pant Sustains Left Index Finger Injury on Day 1 at Lord’s

Team India vice-captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant sustained an injury to his left index finger on Day 1 of the third Test against England at Lord’s. The incident occurred in the 34th over when he dove to stop a leg-side delivery from Jasprit Bumrah but failed to collect it cleanly, conceding two byes.

Pant received immediate medical attention and briefly resumed his duties, but soon left the field. Dhruv Jurel was brought in as the substitute wicketkeeper.
