India vs Pakistan next match confirmed at this venue in ICC Champions Trophy 2025

India and Pakistan will add another chapter in their rivalry in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy edition at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore next February. 

Both teams will be meeting each other in less than a year after playing out a sensational Group stage match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. India and Pakistan locked horns with each other for the first time in the iconic city of New York wherein Rohit Sharma's side came out on top. Babar Azam's side lost the game despite reaching very close to the victory. 

With that victory, team India increased their lead over Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cups with the Men in Blue winning for a record 7th time. Pakistan had the chance to win only their second match against their bitter rivals but fate had something else in plan for Babar Azam's men. Due to the loss, the Green Army is now in the scare of being knocked out of the World Cup from the group stages. 

Pakistan will now be facing Ireland and Canada in their final two Group A matches. Grabbing all four points from these two games - is the only way they can proceed to the Super 8 round. At the same time, they will also be hoping for other results to fall in their favour and it will be fair to say that the Pakistanis are doing what they are known for in ICC events. 

Pakistan Cricket Board submit the Champions Trophy 2025 schedule to ICC 

According to our trusted sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has submitted the first draft of the 2025 Champions Trophy's schedule to the ICC. In the proposed schedule, India and the host nation's meeting is set in the final league match of the tournament before the knockout rounds get underway. 

If India and Pakistan do not face each other again in the ongoing T20 World Cup, then they are certain to meet next year in the 50-over format. ICC and ACC tournaments are the only way in which these two teams meet each other and it seems like fans won't have to wait for much longer to see the clash. 

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is reportedly going to take place from February 19 to March 9th, right before the IPL's summer window. This is just the proposed date and nothing has been finalized as of yet. Team India might or might not travel to Pakistan for the ODI tournament, which was last won by the Men in Green back in 2017. 

India to play all their matches in Lahore 

It remains to be seen if the Indian Government will allow the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team to visit Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy. But in case they do, team India will play all of their matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. 

Other than Lahore, the ICC Champions Trophy will take place at the venues in Karachi and Rawalpindi. While Lahore will host 7 games in the event, the other two stadiums will host 3 and 5 matches respectively. The knockouts, including the finale, will take place at the Gaddafi Stadium itself.
