Cricket South Africa have announced the home international fixtures for the 2026-27 season. The India women's national cricket team will travel to face the Proteas in a highly anticipated multi-format series, featuring a three-match One Day International series followed by a rare one-off Test in December 2026.

India and South Africa share a competitive rivalry in women’s cricket. The Women in Blue, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated South Africa to capture their maiden ICC title during the ODI World Cup 2025 final on home soil. Team India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in Navi Mumbai on November 2, 2025.

The ODI World Champions will begin their campaign with a warm-up match against South Africa Emerging at Willowmoore Park in Benoni on December 6. This 50-over fixture provides the visitors with a vital opportunity to acclimatize to local pitch conditions before the ICC Women’s Championship series.

The three-match ODI series will commence on December 9 at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom. Both teams will travel to Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein for the second match on December 12. The white-ball series will conclude at WSB Newlands in Cape Town on December 15.

Following the limited-overs fixtures, the two teams will play a one-off Test match at Dafabet St George’s Park in Gqeberha from December 20 to 23. This highly anticipated fixture represents only the second women’s Test match hosted in the city since England toured there in December 1960.

Australia Scheduled to Tour South Africa in 2027

Cricket South Africa has also confirmed that the Australia women’s national cricket team will embark on their first bilateral tour of the country. A previously planned series in March 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic. The upcoming multi-format tour will run from March 18 to April 11, 2027.

The Australian tour will feature three T20 Internationals across Kimberley, Benoni, and Gqeberha. The teams will subsequently play three one-day internationals in Gqeberha, Paarl, and Durban.

The tour will conclude with a four-day Test match at JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom starting on April 8. Notably, this red-ball game will be Australia’s first since their win over India in Perth earlier this month, as no Test is scheduled during their 2026-27 home summer.

The Australia women's national cricket team last met the South Africa women's national cricket team in a red-ball fixture at the WACA Ground in February 2024.
