What history tells us before India Women vs Pakistan Women 2026 Women's Asia Cup clash

India Women recently secured a 270-run Test victory at Lord's during the England tour. Harmanpreet Kaur's side has a settled batting lineup, with Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma forming a balanced unit.

Pakistan Women, led by Muneeba Ali, recently lost 2-1 in a T20I series against Sri Lanka Women. However, they still have experienced players like Nida Dar, Fatima Sana, and Nashra Sandhu, who can make an impact in pressure games.

India Women have won 12 of the 13 Asia Cup matches against Pakistan Women across both formats and have dominated the rivalry for nearly two decades. Pakistan Women will look to challenge that record, but India Women start the contest with the stronger recent form and the historical edge.
