India’s largest cricket stadium? ACA set to build massive venue in Amaravati

The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) is planning to construct the largest cricket stadium in India. As per the reports in Times of India, it is learned that the stadium will have a seating capacity of 1.25 lakh.

ACA president and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) revealed that their state association has sought 60 acres of land from the Andhra Pradesh state government to make the stadium. This will be part of the state's sports plan, which is set to span across 200 acres of land in Amaravati.

This stadium will not only redefine cricket infrastructure in the country but also put Amaravati on the global sporting map - ACA president and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath

State Association president and Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) also confirmed to the media about the same, saying that it will redefine cricket.

The reports claimed that the ACA is planning to take funds from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to create the largest cricket stadium. Also, they will be taking funds locally to ensure the timely execution of the plan is done and that the stadium is built smoothly.

The reports also claimed that the state body is focusing on talent development. They have announced the establishment of three state-of-the-art cricket academies in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, and Rayalaseema. Former Indian cricketers in Mithali Raj and Robin Singh will be working with the players in these academies.

The state association is also planning to renovate the Visakhapatnam Stadium. As a part of the upgradation plan, the state body will be focusing on modernizing state-of-the-art facilities, positioning the venue as a prime host for Indian Premier League (IPL) matches.

President also expressed his confidence in the young players of Andhra Pradesh. He is confident that at least 15 players will be part of the IPL in the next two years due to the association's renewed focus on talent development and infrastructure improvement.
